Department Overview

The Department of history at priyadarshini college started with a batch of 23 Students and two faculty members in the year of 2020. History provides us with the data that is used to create laws, or theories about various aspects of society. We aim for our students to gain both historical knowledge and a broad range of related analytical skills. Studying history allows us to observe and understand how people and societies behaved. We are able to evaluate war, even when a nation is at peace by looking back at previous events.The history department prepares students for a wide range of careers by teaching a core set of transferable skills through the study of societies and cultures across a broad chronological and geographical spectrum.
